How to Play

Everything you need to know to get started

Draft League lets you build a fantasy squad from real players across 22 seasons of football (2004/05–2025/26), then compete in a simulated league. Here's how a game works, step by step.

1
Create or join a lobby. Choose Rated (ratings visible) or No Ratings (names only — test your football knowledge), pick how many players (4–20), and whether it's vs bots or vs real people.
2
Choose your formation. Pick from 14 classic formations (4-3-3, 4-4-2, 5-3-2, and more) before the draft begins.
3
Draft your squad. Turns go in a snake order — pick 1, then reverse, then forward again. You have 60 seconds per pick. Pick any player from any season; the same real player can appear multiple times under different season versions (e.g. 2012 Messi and 2015 Messi are different cards).
4
Fine-tune your lineup. Once picked, players are placed automatically in a compatible position — but you can freely swap players between compatible slots on your own pitch at any time.
5
Ready up. Once everyone's squad is set, hit Ready. The season simulates match by match — goals, assists, and results play out based on player quality, position, and your formation's attacking or defensive tendencies.
6
Climb the table. Everyone plays everyone home and away. Standings update after every match. At the end, see the champion, top scorers, assists, clean sheets, and the match of the season.

Advanced Filters

Want a themed draft? Restrict the player pool to specific leagues and/or a season range before you start — for example, "only Premier League, only 2015/16" for a nostalgic, tighter draft experience.

Leaderboard

Multiplayer league results earn you points: 1st place (100pts), 2nd (70pts), 3rd (50pts), and participation (10pts). Check the leaderboard for both this month's standings and all-time totals.
